Video Game Assisted Therapy Webinar (May 2026)

In this webinar participants will explore Video Game Assisted Therapy (VGAT), which utilizes video games as therapeutic tools to enhance treatment outcomes. The session will highlight the components involved in VGAT, such as selection of appropriate games, the role of therapists, and integration into treatment plans. Additionally, attendees will delve into the theoretical frameworks supporting VGAT. And you will explore who can benefit and how it works in the therapeutic setting. 

Our presenter, Andre Stam, is a teacher, now psychotherapist. Andre spent the six years teaching in Alberta and communities in northern Ontario as well as Quebec before returning to the London, Ontario area. He received his Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University shortly after his return and remains in good standing with as a certified Ontario teacher with Ontario College of Teachers (OCT). Andre has many years of experience working with youth, and their parents through various life stressors, such as grief, suicide, family breakdowns, emotional dysregulation and financial problems. Andre was recently featured on the TVO Today segment where he spoke on the therapeutic approach of Video Game Assisted Therapy.
